My Story

I’ve collaborated with marketing agencies, clients on content platforms, and directly with companies and organizations. I’m particularly skilled in creating optimized web content that’s SEO-savvy and adheres to the latest GEO directives (Generative Engine Optimization).

Much of my early work was for online stores, including both B2C and B2B websites. This includes product and service pages, brand profiles, FAQs, and Amazon product pages. Since then, I’ve written many blog posts, educational articles, and website content pages. I also provide editing, fact-checking, and proofreading services.

I’ve worn many hats for Boston-area colleges, including content developer, content manager, writer, technical writer, editor, and proofreader. I was part of a small team that collaborated with developers to create interactive story walls in a university visitor center. As part of this project, I conducted interviews and wrote about students participating in international co-ops, study programs, and volunteer service. I researched media to upload to the custom content management system and performed QA testing on the screens.

At another university, after creating a site architecture and content inventory, I reviewed, edited, and migrated the existing content to a new website and created a user manual for future editors. I wrote process documentation for a student financial services department and restructured and edited a microsite, collaborating with marketing and student services. I’ve also proofread and fact-checked correspondence, social media content, and other materials for enrollment marketing.

My degree is in technical communication, and I have a past life as a web developer. For several years, I published music reviews and band profiles on both proper music blogs and my own quirky, creative writing site, musingsfromboston.com. I’ve also written about mental health topics, dipping my toes into very murky waters that I’m now exploring more deeply.
